Hold callers in line instead of losing them to voicemail
Holds callers in line when everyone is busy and connects them to the next person who becomes free.
The problem
When every line is busy, callers get voicemail or a busy tone. Most do not leave a message — they call somebody else.
How Call Queue works
A call queue holds callers in order and connects each one to the next person who becomes free. Callers hear a greeting and hold music rather than a dead end, and the queue keeps their position so nobody is dropped for arriving early.
The point of a queue is not to make people wait. It is to stop you losing the call entirely during the twenty minutes a day when everyone happens to be on the phone at once.
A queue differs from a ring group in what happens when nobody is free. A ring group tries everyone and falls through to voicemail; a queue holds the line. If your callers would rather wait two minutes than leave a message, you want a queue.
Call queues are included on Business, and available as an add-on on Essentials.
